Wen's visit beneficial: Cambodian PM

PHNOM PENH -- Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen said here on Friday that
the upcoming visit by Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao will be greatly
beneficial to Cambodia and Cambodia- China's relations.
Hun Sen made the remarks after attending the National Assembly session.
"Cambodia warmly welcome Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao's visit," the prime
Minister said, adding that during Premier Wen's visit, " our two
countries will sign a series economic and technical cooperation
agreements," which he said "will be sure to greatly beneficial to
Cambodia" and also the two countries' traditional friendship ties.
The Chinese Premier will arrive here on Friday afternoon to start his
two-day official visit at the invitation of his Cambodian counterpart Hun
Sen.
During his visit, the two leaders will witness the inking of a series of
inter-governmental agreements and documents, including cooperations on
combating transnational crime and in the field of health and
telecommunication, as well as the establishment of a national botanical
garden and additional help protecting Angkor Temples.
Cambodia is the last leg of Premier Wen's four-nation Asia- Pacific tour
which has taken him to Australia, Fiji and New Zealand.
