Global ore prices soaring
www.chinanews.cn 2005-03-02 14:28:06
Shanghai Baosteel Group Corp (SBGC), the largest iron and steel
enterprise in China, revealed today that it had reached a final agreement
on annual ore prices with the two main iron ore manufacturers in the
world. Ore prices are set to increase 71.5%. Global mining giants believe
that it was the sharp increase in China's demand for iron ore that has
caused continuous hikes in global ore prices.
